Quin Castle
This Castle is a fine example of a 15th century Irish keep or peel tower. Overlooking the River Shannon and surrounding meadows, its massive stone walls rise up above the waited "barnkin" or entrance courtyard. Magnificently restored by the Irwin family during the 1970s, this castle now offers accommodation for up to six guests in a unique combination of features of ancient times and the comfort of modern living. The castle stands surrounded by farmland, three miles from the village of Quin. This region is renowned for its historic interest and is within easy access to the beautiful coastal areas of Galway, Connemara and the Burren. Horse-riding, fishing, hunting, golf and traditional Irish music are available within a few minutes drive.
ACCOMMODATION
Medieval style dining room (seats 8); fully equipped kitchen with open fireplace.
Second/Third Floors - splendid living room with minstrel's gallery, inglenook fireplace and panoramic views over the Shannon Estuary. Two double bedrooms with four poster beds; one twin bedroom, two bathrooms with bath and handshower; one additional unfurnished room on top floor.

Stereo system, television, telephone (with three extensions and fax facility), washing machine and dryer, underfloor electric central heating. Heating electricity and cleaning service two mornings per week included. Cook arranged at additional cost (advance notice required.) No pets.
